New Release V0.95.279.247
iFunBox New Version (V0.95.279.247) is now available.
[ download ]
What’s New:
1. Download music and movies from iPhone/iPod of any model with any firmware.
2. Fix a bunch of problems:
> Failed to locate Mobile Device Support (iTunesMobileDevice.dll)
> File view don’t refresh after copying / deleting
> PNG is not converted when open from shortcut folders
> Display just empty icon of image thumbails on Windows Vista and Windows 7
> PNG is not converted to PC format on Windows Vista and Windows 7
> Miscellaneous UI problems on Windows Vista and Windows 7
Highlight:

Now listing of music and movie on iPod is based on a different way, which depends nothing on the iTunesDB. So, it is now supporting all models/firmwares of iPhones and iPod Touch. It even works well with iPod, Shuffle and Nanos. But it is not fully tested. Since is not depending on iTunesDB, iFunbox may recover music and movie files even when iTunesDB is corrupted or iTunes is refused to connect.
Feature of uploading media files to iTunesDB is totally removed. Anyone who need it may use the previous version. Good things are iFunbox will never ruin iTunesDB in the future. We haven’t tested with iPad since we don’t have one. So, if you tried iFunbox on iPad, please let us know.

when viewed in iTunes, my jailbroken unlocked iphone has a huge “other” section (about 6GB). is there a way to use ifunbox to trace the files in order to delete them. i would certainly prefer that over “restore”…
thanks!

Agreed with theodor
Yeah, I do need a “search” feature in iFunBox, wether its search by size or by name. Also, size sorting doesn’t seem to work either.
But great app! and good job!

Excellent! Thank you! It works!
One thing: after clicking on Copy to PC, “cancel” has the same effect as “OK”. It copies the files even though I “cancelled”. This was a problem with the older version as well.
Also, why not a more conventional file name like “Artist - Song”? Good avenue for customization here, potentially with automatic folder creation too (”Artist - Album\Track - Song”) Admittedly a minor inconvenience when one has access to a good mp3 renamer.

Hi,
first of all thank you for this very helpful software.
I was wondering is it possible to copy iTunesMobileDevice.dll and other required files to ifunbox’s folder and this way connect to an iPhone without having iTunes installed ? it would be a phenomenal

I’ve found a loop on my iPhone that just keeps going. Inside each mobile folder is the same mobile folder and again and again. I’m guessing this isn’t normal. Are they actually there or could it be the way that i-FunBox is reading it? It’s v.09 build 0257.0241 beta. Great program though, thanks for letting me use it!!

Thanks for your great work.
I found the Copy path do nothing on Windows7 64bit with touch 3.1.2. It doesn’t prompt me to select the destination folder.

Would it be possible to add a search feature, for example to search for a file with the same name or extension.
Thanks

I have used your app for the past 2 months on my PC Windows Vista Home. Now I bought a new PC using Windows 7. When I run iFunBox V 0.95.0281.0247 Beta it does not recognize my iPhone 3g 3.0? Does your app run on Windows 7? Thank you.
