iFunbox V0.8.250.160 is out now [ download ]
What’s New:
1. Uploading Music and Video to iPhone and iPhone 3G (tested on lastest firmware 2.2.1)
2. Supporting multi-language user interface, and calling for translation
3. Fixed compatibility with Apple iTunes 8.2
4. Robust parsing of meida file’s metadata (e.g. album name and titles)
Highlight:
Uploading media file to iPhone with firmware 2.x is now enabled. So that you can uploading music and video to iPhone like i-FunBox V0.6 does. We really appreciate Alba for sharing the DBVersion trick to us for beating Apple again. More details can be found here.
Limitation:
1. DBVersion trick is only applicable to jailbroken iPhones. So jailbroken is required for uploading media files. DBVersion trick is a lucky work around and works fine with 2.x firmware, yet the trick could be very easily disabled by Apple of later updated firmware. Worry about the coming 3.x firmware.
2. Uploaded media file is not acknowledged by iTunes, still. iTunes may refuse to sync. To bring iTunes back, it might be fixed. Yet recectly failure cases are reported, please use the media uploading function at your own risk. In the worst case, the problem will be fixed by restoration of iphone to factory settings using iTunes.

Great app love the update.
Tried the music transfer thing on my iTouch fw 2.1 and the first time even after a respring (from sbsettings) it still came up no music but after I turned it off and on the song came up and now i only have to respring for the song to appear…..really do prefer this over iTunes.
If you ever get it to be able to set permissions with this I would use it all the time where as now its something i recommend to people who aren’t great at computers.

The video uploading to a jb ipod touch 2.2.1 is broken!
It will fully upload 100% of the file yet only 10 minutes will be available. Also it will not have a thumbnail of the video itself. A respring and a full reboot do not solve this issue.
You have to use itunes to delete the file and reupload for it to work correctly.

What the type of the file?
Can you play the video on the computer?
If not, install the lastest codec pack such as kLite codec pack. And re-uploading may work. Hope it work, in the fact, I don’t have an iPod touch for testing.

They are just normal mp4 files. ~ 350MB or so each.
They play fine on the pc.
They also play fine on the ipod … aslong as you use itunes to copy them across.
It almost seems like its a hard coded limit somewhere. Regardless of filesize, bitrate encoding etc you only get 10 minutes of video for the new files that were uploaded via ifunbox. Quite weird that its EXACTLY 10 mins worth.

Its not file related as I can swap the converted files “323″ and “324″. File “323″ will upload sucessfully (via itunes) and 324 unsuccessfuly via ifunbox. This issue can be replicated for any video over 10mins long.

Exactly the same - have no apps, poctures and videos tabs as well I can’t sync pics..Is deleting the folder “iTunes_Control” is still the rescue ??

The tradtional Chinese zipped file after download uncompress to regular English version of iFunBox.exe. Did I miss something?
Furthermore, when I tranfer photo from iphone to PC, delete the original, and copy the exact same photo back to iphone, the photo exist, but the preview icon become blank. Is there some fix to this problem?

so i have itunes 8.1.1.10 and ifunbox crashes. i had itunes 8.2 (a leak) and downgraded. should i upload the dump file it produces? idk why it wont work…

Dev Team, this, as all other iphone and ipod browsers crashes on vista. And asa far as i see all these applications for browsing crash when connecting to device attempts are made. Help needed.

I don’t have apps, videos, photo sync with iTunes anymore!
The iTunes control db trick doesn’t solve anything!
After trying sync with iTunes, all appstore applications on my iphone crashed, and i had to re-install all of them one-by-one because i can’t use iTunes to sync/install.
I don’t want to restore my jbroken iphone… so please give us a solution!!

I can’t seem to upload movies to my iPhone 3G JB the movie shows in ifun but its not in my phone. After uploading i rebooted, respringed and even turned it off an on but still nothing.I just can’t upload it and iTunes don’t find my phone and if it finds it says that there are no movies to sync.
please help!

i backup itunes control folder before i JB using ifunbox.after jb, i copied all mp3 and mp4 to ifunbox “ipod music and video”, but no album art show up on my ipod touch. what i did to show up album art in ipod is to right click every mp3/mp4 in itunes and click get info, then ok, but i cant do it to all my songs, i have a thousand plus in my ipod touch.is there a fast fix for this?thanks.

After uploading music to the User > Media > iTunes_Control > Music. it’s here, but in the iPhone it says “No music”

Also, I have to change compatibility modes 2-3 times to open the program. Windows 7 64 bit and i-FunBox = fail… Just stops at “Connecting to device…” and freezes

Hi. I’m using the touch 2g running 3.0, I already have some musics and one video on it, but in the music and video tab, nothing is shown. I’ve converted another video using nero recode. I tried to drag-drop that onto my ipod twice. It was transferring and suddenly crashed. 2 dump files were created. Rebooted and reconnected my ipod. I’ve noticed that my free space are lesser than before and still nothing is shown in the music tab. Is there a way that I can get those “taken space” back? Hope you release a bug fix for this soon. My iPhone 3G does not sync with the latest version of i-funbox. This the first time I am using it and all that shows up is Computer, not my 3g to transfer data. Please help. Thank you.
